89) david. (pamplona, navarra. spain.)
(there is nothing like little shops for everything. it's the good ol' days in the bright present of today. pick up your meats and cheeses here. and then over there to market for fruits and veggies. and finally the intoxicating smells from the bakery. i snapped these photos quickly--as my growling stomach decided to pass on "artsy photos" for its own well-being!)
- the value of friendship. friendship is the lifeblood for any wound you have! it's that trust you have between one another.
- less hypocrisy. it's everywhere.
- say "adiós" to work and get to know the world. starting with spain. maybe a few kilometers north of here. ja! ja! and then i would just keep going.
Sunday, April 25
88) arturo. (pamplona, navarra. spain.)
(there is no such thing as garbage in pamplona. everything gets sorted and recycled. plastics here. cardboard over there. and look close. you see how everything is in spanish and in euskera--the basque language? sweetness. way to go verde!)
- there is always hope. with whatever happens, there is always a solution.
- that economic intrests would not be put in front of justice and fairness.
- i would open up a school for children. probably in afghanistan. and show that an education is much more important fighting.
Saturday, April 24
87) javier. (torres de elorz, navarra. spain.)
(a little glance at my day-to-day car i drive around. diesel. old-school. the stick-shift is my first workout of the day. the "red bomber" if you will. and the "e" on the license plate? for "españa" but of course!)
- even though you keep falling, you can keep getting up!
- that people would do everything with truth leading the way.
- do something, somewhere, where people don't have much. i know. i'm not being specific. but i just don't think like that! help out. period.
Friday, April 23
86) cris. (barcelona, cataluña. spain.)
(motorcyles everywhere. buses taking sharp turns. and don't forget that there are only roundabouts. ready to drive around spain? i have grown to love it. it's a rush.)
- family is always there for you.
- that we would see less hypocrisy between people. they say one thing to your face and then switch it up behind your back. stop!
- i would start over. it sounds sad, but it's true. i would fix things. change things. look at them. and start fresh.
Thursday, April 22
85) iñigo. (pamplona, navarra. spain.)
(you play tag in the states. in pamplona, you pretend you are a bull and chase your friends. put your index fingers on your head, and you turn into a bull! watch out. this kid ran around with a homemade, deluxe version of the "running of the bulls." and there were "bulls" running everywhere!)
- keep fighting through all adversity. i try to stay consistent with everything so that i can fight through and move forward every day.
- that people wouldn't focus so much on the differences between everyone. we are human beings. if we don't acknowledge one another we will never get to the same point.
- just do my best to give a little bit to everyone with the very little bit that i have!
Wednesday, April 21
84) maría. (pamplona, navarra. spain.)
- i'm in the middle of getting a divorce. so maybe i'm a little bitter. but my marriage was a mistake. you have to be completely sure before you do it. i wasn't. and now i'm not as trusting.
- tons of violence. if i was a politician, i would change things. and fast. people in power need to do something. money corrupts everything!
- any city that has a coast. i would go there. okay, any city. that has a coast. in spain! i want to stay here forever.
