the manifestaciones, protests, never stop in spain. there is always something to march for or against--from closing businesses to human rights. this march happened right outside--with the people showing their determination to break from spain and start their own basque country. a country that would include parts of spain and france. no one was going to stomp over their freedom to march! (i saw the irony on the coffee-stained, well-worn floors of the coffee shop beneath my feet.)

1. nothing is what it seems. many times you think one thing, but it turns out completely opposite. you realize that it isn't that way at all. and that you don't know as much as you think you do
2. to see people treat others as they want to be treated. to love others as you want to be loved. more love all around. say adios to hate forever.
3. write my own book. it would be a novel. fiction, of course. just about normal life. normal living. with a little bit of philosophy. it seems impossible to do well.
